No more charity. It’s time for poverty to have an exit strategy. It’s time for ALL of us to shift. What does this shift mean?  If you believe everything is connected, you understand that nothing happens in a vacuum. Thus, we (i.e. all of us) need to get it (i.e. the complex systems that determine our collective future) together and choose a new path.  What is that path? Intelligent life would say, one that works.  What works? EMPOWERMENT Works!  (Not just cheerleading our brand here, but stating a proven fact.)

Yes, it’s about making the proverbial PIE bigger for all of us through synergistic collaboration. It’s the big dream so many visionaries have held peices of - harnessing the power of the communication age to enable hyper transparency and level the playing field for a sustainable, just world.

Growing from a quest to link diverse partners in support of locally led solutions in Africa, the first 1PIE think-tanks were held in living rooms in 2006. Next, the foundation of 1PIE values were set forth in 2008 when The Global Summit united sustainability leaders from across six mutually supportive sectors to set forth principals in each for a future that works for all.

Our world as we know it is going through a massive roller coaster and unless you are Dr. Spock, you and your kids are here for the ride!

So if you are holding on to the economic collapse thinking to look out for #1, shift!  You don't need to be an anthropologist to know that True Human Security comes from Community, right? We need each other. That is the lesson of what humanity is going through.  This evolution is the opportunity of collaboration.
